Extra details

George was the 3rd child of John and Annie Elizabeth Anderson's ten children. He was baptised at St Luke's Church on 23rd April 1893. He attended Raglan Road School then worked as a laundryman.

He joined the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment at the outbreak of war but was transferred to Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment) with whom he was serving at the time of his death, his body was not recovered.
