Reginald was the third of Henry and Millicent Dawes' four children. He was probably educated at his father's school.
Reginald went to the Front on 24th January 1915, his worst engagement took place at Hooge on his twenty second birthday which he survived unharmed. After a short rest a base he returned to the trenches and was killed instantaneously by shrapnel.
