Extra details

John was the fourth of Thomas and Sarah (nee Davis) Boxall's five children. He also had three older siblings from his father's marriage to Sarah Monkhouse. He was baptised on 12th September 1897 at Holy Trinity, Bromley Common.

John had been a pupil of Holy Trinity Church of England Schools. He had only joined the Cyclist Corp in September 1916 and as a result of complications after his inoculations died in hospital.

His cousins Bertie Holland Boxall and Charles Whitehead also died.
