Extra details

Albert was the 6th of Herbert and Harriet Maunton's fifteen children. He attended Aylesbury Road School before taking employment with the South Suburban Gas Company. He married Minnie Steer in 1907, they had two daughters, Sylvia Irene and Kathleen Alice.

Albert joined the Royal West Kents on 10th September 1914 and died at the Somme on 3rd July 1916.

Albert's brother Arthur married Georgina Jessie Lettington who lost four of her brothers. After Albert's death Minnie married her cousin Henry Steer who was 10 years her junior.
