Extra details

Frederick was the seventh of Charles and Ellen Greenwood's nine children. He was educated at Raglan Road School before working in the printing trade. Frederick married Amy Aveling in 1915. He died from gas poisoning at the 2nd Canadian General Hospital, Le Treport, France.

Frederick's brother George was also killed, as was their brother Walter's brother-in-law Henry Roe.
