Very little is known of William.
There is an illegitimate William George born in Holbrook, Suffolk in 1893. In 1901 he is living with Eliza Brett who has adopted him.
On his "Register of Soldiers Effects" his brother Arthur William Dunnett is his beneficiary. The Bromley & District Times of 18th December 1914 lists A Dunnett of Barmouth Villas joining up, could this be his brother. Arthur William was also born illegitimate, in 1885, but in St Pancras. There is an Arthur William in the Holbrook school records with Elijah, grandfather, as guardian. Elijah had ten children, of the three daughters who survived Jane Elizabeth seems a likely mother of these two boys. Jane was a servant in St Pancras in 1881 and back in Holbrook in 1891. She married Edward Walter Craske in 1894 and died in 1905.
William enlisted in the London Regiment and was sent to the Front on 9th May 1915, he was killed 3 weeks later.
